Breastfeeding
Even before birth, you should know that breastfeeding promotes both your health and the health of your children. However, it is more challenging for twins or higher-grade multiples. Therefore, it is advisable to involve the whole family.
Unprepared mothers of multiplets have more difficulties to breastfeed after giving birth. You also need the support of your family or friends. It would be great if you would plan to breastfeed both children for at least 6 months and not to give up too early.
More information can be found on our information leaflet, which you can discuss with health care providers, midwife, breastfeeding consultant or within your Family.
Be optimistic and be aware that you can improve the health of your future family by breastfeeding.
If it becomes challenging, you may consider: “If the wolf has made it in Rome, I can make it too!”
